Just Watched the Move Julie and Julia!

(That’s right, people. Be kind and leave comments! My first comment left for me was from a long time friend who remembered something we had done 30 years ago that was related to my blog post, Handprints Make My Day! It was terrific to find that comment! Thanks, Ann).

In the movie, Julia Childs has the first publisher turn her cookbook down. “She’s really going to be bummed by this”, I told my husband. “And she probably won’t know what to do next”, That’s right, I nailed it on that one! Julia Childs gets her first published book sent in the mail and opens it. “She is going to yell and shout right here!” I said. Yep, she did. I’ve lived it and now I could express it to him while he sat with me patiently listening to me talk through the movie. Then guess what he did!? When the movie ended he went to his computer and called to me from the next room, “Can you come in here and show me what this blogging is?” Now we’re talking! He was clued in and we communicated. Believe me, it feels good to have your spouse comprehend what you’re doing and want to participate. He put my blogs in his ‘Favorites’ file, then we went through and he clicked on everything.

 This is the stuff love is made of! Two thumbs up for the movie and a big two arms up for my husband!
