Rallene Almendarez, Woman of Wisdom and Grace
How Do You Define ‘Missionary’?
When you hear ‘missionary’, do you picture someone reaching the farthest parts of the world; a man perhaps because they can handle the travel and conditions in the country better? Let me give you a new perception of a missionary. Meet my close friend, Rallene Almendarez, woman of wisdom and grace. She’s 5’1″ tall, blond and full of southern charm. Rallene has a ministry to go to the nations and teach the nationals so they can teach their people. She has gone into 21 plus countries and will continue for as long as God leads her to do so.
Rallene is a firecracker! She taught for four days at our church and stayed in our home. This is a poised woman…so gracious, fresh and honest. When you meet her you feel as if you’ve known her all your life. Rallene Almendarez went to Rhema Bible Training Center with her husband, “Angel” Almendarez, graduating in 1981. They had a ministry together throughout the United States until Angel went home to be with the Lord.

One year after that, Rallene was diagnosed with cancer. Two blows in a row and yet she wanted to do what God was leading her to do…go international. She had a call to the nations. That was fourteen years ago. That’s right, she’s healed, and going out every year, ministering to students, Pastors, Pastor’s wives and churches…over 30 years of full time ministry!
