BlogAid Knows WordPress…Do You Know BlogAid?
“I’ll never cross over to WordPress! Blogger remains the easiest process for blogging and I’m not changing!”
Then the dreaded malicious code hit my Blogger site. It couldn’t be removed and I didn’t know if it was ‘contagious’. Just posting on friends sites made me cringe thinking I might be leaving ‘cooties’ behind.
What to do??
I moved to WordPress with a designer’s help…actually she did it all! Thank you, Angie Vinez! Then came the dumbfounded look on my face as I stared at the WordPress blog that was all mine….and I did not know how to use it!
I slogged through, making mistakes and asking friends (Angie, Audra from Rediscovering Domesticity) . I really did get a lot of help, but felt guilty for pestering friends.
Tired of Not Knowing How to Use My WordPress!
Not until I met MaAnna did I get ‘continuous, streaming’ help! Her site is BlogAid and is set up for the non-geek to understand what’s under the hood of WordPress. Check out this video she made and set up on YouTube…FREE! Then read this article describing choosing between WordPress and Blogger .
She even has a Video Tutorials home page that shows all of the video packages, including the various $10 packages which all contain several videos each.
I’m still learning, but that much closer to my end goal.
Do you have a desire to know how to use your WordPress to the MAX? Leave your thoughts/comments here …Have a WordPress question?…..Talk with MaAnna for an answer!
Thanks for this helpful, timely post. Like you, I’ve been resisting making the move, but ultimately know I must! Bloggers ease of use is diminished by all the bugs.
I’ve bought a new dotcom and parked it on WordPress because I am a WordPress newbie. I will visit your links. Thanks again.

Linda,
Sorry to hear about your bugs. My Blogger site became a ‘slave’ for someone else’s advertising.
MaAnna at BlogAid is great at speaking a non-geek language. She’s helped me out of many WP issues.
It really feels good to not be groping in the dark!

MaAnna,
Thank you for all the help you’ve given me! Your tutorials are so EASY and you even prompt your students to pause and go do what you just showed them.
I’ve been able to pick up so much info about WP instead of agonizing over ‘what does that mean’ and ‘will I blow up my site’.
I find this article very helpful to me. This is really a big help most of all for the beginners in this world.

Carol,
Glad this helped you. Be sure to check out the free videos of how to run your WordPress. Your site about wasps is very intereesting. We had a huge wasp nest near some Lupines. Lupines attract aphids and of course, wasps eat aphids. I now have the nest dsplayed on my hallway table. Very ingenious creatures!
WordPress has really been useful for a blogger newbee like me. Though I heard how user friendly wordpress is, I still managed to experience difficulties. I have been having fun applying the things I learned in wordpress. I know there are still so many things I have to learn and benefits to receive using this tool.
Robert,
Be sure to check out MaAnna’s site, BlogAid, for some really good tips on using WordPress. Wish I had found her early on in my blogging!!!
