Rallene Almendarez Woman of Wisdom and Grace

How Do You Define ‘Missionary’?

When you hear ‘missionary’, do you picture someone reaching the farthest parts of the world; a man perhaps because they can handle the travel and conditions in the country better?  Let me give you a new perception of a missionary.  Meet my close friend, Rallene Almendarez, woman of wisdom and grace.  She’s 5’1″ tall, blond and full of southern charm.  Rallene has a ministry to go to the nations and teach the nationals so they can teach their people.  She has gone into 21 plus countries and will continue for as long as God leads her to do so.

Rallene is a firecracker!  She taught for four days at our church and stayed in our home.  This is a poised woman…so gracious, fresh and honest.  When you meet her you feel as if you’ve known her all your life.  Rallene Almendarez went to Rhema Bible Training Center with her husband, “Angel” Almendarez, graduating in 1981.  They had a  ministry together throughout the United States until Angel went home to be with the Lord.

One year after that, Rallene was diagnosed with cancer.  Two blows in a row and yet she wanted to do what God was leading her to do…go international.  She had a call to the nations.  That was fourteen years ago.  That’s right, she’s healed, and going out every year, ministering to students, Pastors, Pastor’s wives and churches…over 30 years of full time ministry!

Why am I bringing up Rallene Almendarez in this posting?

She mentors women….I am one of those women.  She’s an inspiration to me.  Rallene did not give in to the circumstances that kept coming her way.  It would have been easy to ‘stay’ instead of ‘go’, but she did not give herself the final say.  She follows Someone greater, the Holy Spirit inside her.  Rallene has grown in maturity in the things of God and she’s more than willing to share herself with others.

Rallene Almendarez Believes, “God’s plan is always bigger than we are.”

What are you facing that makes you want to ‘pull the covers over your head’ instead of getting back into life and living it to the fullest?  Do you have a ‘Rallene’ in your life…someone to bring you along?  The best wisdom  and mentoring comes from ‘seasoned women of God’.  They’ve come to a place in their life where they’ve seen Him move, meeting their needs, opening doors and leading them on to fulfill their destiny.
I want to encourage you today to find a mentor.  Pray and ask God to place a strong woman full of wisdom in your life.  God will strategically place them in your life to help in fulfilling your destiny.  You have a purpose for being on this earth; find out what it is and how to grow in ‘wisdom and grace’ while you live it.

Do you have someone in your life that you'd like to recognize by posting here in the comments section of this blog? We'd all love to hear about them.

There are many women mentors that go unrecognized but such an inspiration to us all.
