Opposition to Your Dream?

Be sure to watch the book trailer

Orville Wright Caterpillar is a visionary!

He uses his imagination to see what can be, then he walks in that direction.  This little guy has a dream in his heart!  These words could represent anyone; you, me, or your friends.  This is actually a book review about The Flight of Orville Wright Caterpillar.

Orville decides that he wants to fly in spite of being a ground crawling caterpillar.  You see, the odds were against him as no caterpillar had ever flown before, but Orville believes he can be the first!

There’s Opposition to the Dream??

There’s always opposition when you choose a different way, but can you imagine it?  Can you see it clearly?  You have to start here….having hope.  If you don’t have hope, you’ll never get to ‘flying’

The children’s book, The Flight of Orville Wright Caterpillar takes your child through the process of,

“God has put a dream in your heart,

To be what He has planned for you to be.

Don’t let go..no never let go

Of the dream God has put in your heart!”

This is a portion of a song written by our worship leader, Duane Sines (c) 2010 which can be found on my blog tabs.

Orville believed he could fly. He put his dream into action!

The book brings out being Born Again; how God put the dream there and He helps you pursue and fulfill that dream.  Even though opposition arises, they can be overcomers with God’s help.  Show them how to hear God’s Voice and follow it closely to a dream realized.

The book is for ages 3 to 8 and is also excellent Sunday School material with curriculum, craft, puzzles and guitar chords for the songs!  Coloring pages that have the characters of the book are included on my blog.

Have you ever wondered how to talk to your child about being Born Again?  Leave your comments.

This sounds wonderful. I will need to remember it for when JDaniel gets a little bigger.

Thanks for leaving your comment. I would suggest reading the book, or any children's book to a child who is very small. They love the illustrations, and remember what's important to them for their age. Eventually, the book becomes a favorite you can act out with them. As the child grows older, they understand more. This gives you a great platform to start building upon. I can't think of anything better to begin their foundation in life with than the Word of God. Even if it's in story book form, the principles of the Word are there and being built into their life. Start early with reading to them and you give them a taste for good books!
