Born in 1955, Wendy Francisco grew up in a home with a mother who is a graduate of Boston School of Fine Arts and a father who is a Harvard grad, an electrical engineer and brilliant musician. Wendy has been involved with music, art, writing, photography, nature and animals since she was a child. Her involvement with music began at a young age. She learned guitar at age 8 and began to write her own songs. Is this how she became so lucky…always falling into the right place at the right time? Was it all due to her parent’s education, gifting and exposing her to the arts?
Wendy as a Dude Ranch Wrangler
At 17 years of age she received Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Wendy worked as a dude ranch wrangler in the summers from junior high through college. Her background was singing and she received numerous concert requests which helped put her through college. Sparrow Records was alerted to her singing talent and picked her up in 1979. Wendy has since traveled all over the United States and beyond doing concerts. It’s got to be fate or luck…right?
The Beauty of Wendy’s Married Life
She has a married daughter, recording artist Annie Brooks. Wendy resides with her husband, singer/songwriter Don Francisco in the mountains of Colorado where she continues to produce art, (Wendy’s art page) writings, (Wendy’s book page) and music. (Wendy’s music page). She and her husband came up with the hit song, “He’s Alive”. How does she do it….having all this success and a loving family in her life too?
She’s a Mythbuster by Choice
Around 1993 Wendy wanted to bust myths about St. Nicholaus and Christmas giving. She put together a video and posted on YouTube, Nicholaus, embedded below for you to share as your Christmas greetings to others. (For those seeing this on Facebook, go to my blog for viewing the video).
Participated in Editing NewYork Times and Los Angeles Times Best Seller
In 2008, Wendy was asked to participate in the editing of a book. Her friend, Stacey lived with her for 8 months while they worked on “Wesley The Owl” by author Stacey O’ Brien. It was published by Simon and Schuster and became a New York Times and Los Angeles Times best seller.
Her First Children’s Book Starts as a Viral Video
Then in 2008, Wendy wrote a song and animated it for YouTube. The video went viral and hit 1 million in 40 days. During that time, her friend Stacey talked to her own agent about Wendy…Wendy received a call from the literary agent and the book was involved in a publisher’s bidding war! Her book was released 3 months ago and the YouTube video of God and Dog has just about reached 3 million hits. I came across Wendy while listening to Bible Teacher, Andrew Wommack. He had his media people interview Wendy. One day after her interview aired, over 12,000 people had visited her God and Dog video.
God Has Put a Dream in Your Heart, To Be What He Has Planned For You To Be!
After speaking with Wendy, I’ve had my thoughts confirmed about the dream God puts in your heart. It’s His direction for us to find and live. Not all dreams are the same, and no one gets a more perfect dream than another. Each dream or plan for our life put there by God, is personal and planned just for us to live. We have the free will to come into relationship with a loving God, live out our heart’s desires and be used as a conduit to reach others with His love through us. There’s no striving, just rest in Him. Resting in Him involves trusting Him for the leading and results. Our personal background builds into each of our foundations. If it’s a negative background, we can dig up that foundation and rebuild through being Born Again, forgiving and walking in His love. As far as realizing the dream being fulfilled that God has put in our hearts, it’s our free will and choice involved.
Does Wendy Live a Charmed Life?
It only seems like Wendy lives a ‘charmed life’ free of worries, stress, doubt and bad things happening to her. She’s like you and me. Wendy’s human, choosing to be born again…trusting in a loving God to lead her in the right direction….to make her path’s straight and then walking in them. “Trust in the Lord with all of your might. Lean not to your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all of your ways, He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3: 5-6 Has Wendy missed it in her life sometimes? She wouldn’t be in need of a loving Savior if she had not. A quote going around Twitter reads, “I refuse to attend the funeral of any of the dreams God has given me” Remember, it’s a choice!

There were so many things she told me about her life and I had limited posting. God has really been working through her life! She is uniquely livng her God-given dream for her life.

We do have differing ways on how we see God in our life! I personally see Him as my Father, Who sent His Son, Jesus Christ to be the final sacrifce for all wrongs and sin. God’s not mad at people anymore. When anyone accepts Jesus’ blood sacrifice, we are able to freely come before the Father’s throne and be accepted as His dear children.
I have the Bible as my standard of living. It also tells me that “it is given to man once to die and then the judgment”. It tells me of heaven and hell, created by God. Yet God’s intention was never to have any of mankind end up in hell. He gave all mankind free will, and all the while God is desiring us to choose a relationship with Him.
When Jesus rose from the dead, He sent the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and Teacher, to live inside those who choose a relationship with the Father. The Holy Spirit only tells us what the Father says. Jesus said He would come back again for us one day. Until then we are not to think of this place as our permanent ‘home’ as we are just passing through. We have a home, in heaven, where there is no pain, suffering, evil or death.
If you want to pick up a Christian bible and read it, go to John chapter 3 and John chapter 4. This is where Jesus talks to a man called Nicodemus and says a man must be born again. Being born again is asking Jesus into your life and being a follower of His. The Holy Spirit comes to live in you to comfort, teach and lead you. Being a follower of Jesus Christ means you are in the body of believers called The Body of Christ. We are told that Jesus came to give us life and give it to us more abundantly. You can see that Christians believe in a God that is very involved in their life, loves them, guides them, and has left them His Word (the bible) to teach them what they can have in this abundant life with Him.
