Best and Worst Teacher Gifts

We Love Our Teachers

Thought about a gift for your child’s teacher?

Teacher Gifts?

I had to laugh at this one. Have you really thought about teacher gifts for any occassion during the  school year? Maybe you don’t consider giving teacher gifts from your child, but if you do don’t make these mistakes.

Have You Tried Mugs?

Teachers have voted out the mugs filled with goodies.  There is one mug they would love to have though…the one filled with a gift card.  It’s funny, I would have picked out a mug thinking it was a good idea. Now I’d add a Starbuck’s card or other expresso stands cards to fill the mug in the future. No wonder I see so many mugs in garage sales, Goodwill, etc.!

What About Money For Teacher Gifts?

Gift certificates are welcome and so are money cards. Lest you think that teachers are just, “money-oriented whiners”, keep in mind many teachers use their own money for supplies in their classroom throughout the school year.

Surely Cookies and Candy Work!

How about batches of homemade cookies or candy? The teacher will either lay them out in the teacher lounge to share or end up eating them all and gaining unwanted extra weight. Some may be on a diet and the temptation is just too great. So save your cookies until you ask ahead to see if that would really be what they’d like to remember you by!

How Well Do You Know The Teacher?

Do you have the pleasure of knowing the teacher well? Find out if they like jewelry and make a pick online at Etsy.com shops. I just found some glass bead working that is gorgeous for the low price of $20 per bracelet. It reminds me of the Pandora charm bracelets minus the $900 price tag.

As a parent, I stopped in middle school, except for teachers my daughter requested I buy a gift for. There were a few special ones.
