Don’t Hug a Grudge Giveaway Now!

This book is for children ages 8 and up. I say ‘up’ because it has also been used in prisons, recovery groups and by Joyce Meyer (Joyce Meyer International) using the book for her teaching on “Bitterness, Resentment and Unforgiveness”.

Why Would I Want Don’t Hug a Grudge?

Have you ever tried to explain to your child about how staying angry at a friend is like a grudge that wants to belong to them?  This is the perfect book for you a Grudge is held and fed soon becoming Resentment where you don’t hold it anymore, because Resentment ‘holds you’!  The end result is Bitterness whose root goes down deep and makes you hate the ones you should love.  The book helps your child understand how to send grudges, resentment and bitterness on their way.  Written in English and Spanish, the book takes a close look at unforgiveness and how to forgive others.

This book looks great and something that I could even use to read to my four and a half year old. I am trying to instil these sort of things into him while he is young so that he will live a happy life when he is older. A book that can help point the way to eliminating bitterness, resentment and grudges can only be a good thing!

      Claire,
He’s 4 1/2 now? Wow, I remember him at 3. You’re right about building a foundation in your son’s life now for later in adulthood.
And I see by Comment Luv that your post on “Can You Ever Get Enough Hugs? How do you feel? is up…just the thing to keep those grudges away!

      Hi, Theresa!
When my son was 4 he would look through this book intently. It was only paper and pencil at the time, but I had opportunity to explain a small amount of it to him. Now that he’s older, he tells his friends I wrote the book just for him…because he was a grudge holder.

Thanks for this great book review and giveaway as well Donna. Children should know more about letting go of grudges. Hate cannot be instill in our hearts, instead we should know how to forgive and forget.
