John Napier, 2010 Olympic US Bobsledder..I Want God to Work in My Life

Thrill seekers and daredevils, bobsledders travel upwards of 90 miles per hour risking their lives (as happened in the fatality of Georgian luger, Nodar Kumaritashvili while practicing at the 2010 Olympics).

John Napier is a 2010 Olympic bobsledder with the US team. He wants to win the gold, which would be the first time for a US bobsled team in 62 years.  After winning, John (having alreadyput in his request) wants to ship out to Afghanistan.  He has friends that are soldiers in Afghanistan,  and wants to be with them and do his part too.

John Napier is a member of the Vermont National Guard.  He’s in an interesting military program, the Army’s World Class Athlete.  The Program allows him ‘leave’ away from the military and money to train full-time. He’s been in training the last 18 months with the U.S. Bobsled team in Lake Placid, N.Y.

He already won a World Cup event this year, in the two-man sled.  His life has been ‘full and exciting’ to say the least.  John was quoted by Rick Reilly of ESPN Magazine as saying,

“I’m going out there representing my unit and the U.S. Army,” he says. “They gave me a chance to do this. I mean, look at me. I’m in the Olympics! This is the biggest blessing of my life!”

Thank you for letting your ‘life and light so shine’, John.  You are a blessing to the Body of Christ everywhere!”  The United States is proud that you’re wearing our colors!
