Cindy Klassen, Canadian Olympic Gold Speedskater..I am in His Hands!
Canada’s most decorated athlete of all time, Cindy Klassen, an Olympic’s speedskater says “I do it all for God…I give it all up to Him.”
Cindy started as a hockey player at age 4 and decided to go on into speedskating. She believed it would be ‘easy’ as she was strong in hockey. When she first put on the speedskating blades, she says she could barely stand up as five year olds were speeding past her on the ice.
Cindy says it’s her faith, not her sport that defines her. She believes her ability for speedskating is a “gift from God that I’ve been given. I just have to work really hard with it…and it’s in God’s Hands”.
As of today in the 2010 Olympics, Cindy Klassen has taken the silver in her category of speedskating.
